Master’s option information
Journalism graduate students can complete a specialized master’s degree option that combines environmental journalism, science and policy courses. Students learn advanced reporting techniques for covering complicated environmental issues online and in print.
Knight Center faculty also teach a rotating schedule of graduate-level environmental journalism courses. Past topics include:
- Reporting on Climate Change
- Advanced Environmental Writing
- Environmental Video Storytelling
- Health Risk etc.
Graduate students are also encouraged to join the Environmental Journalism Association and write for EJ Magazine and Great Lakes Echo, the Knight Center’s award-winning news publications.
